Outstanding Clinical Team Case Report Prize
The Outstanding Clinical Team Case Report Prize is awarded jointly by The British Society of Periodontology & Implant Dentistry and The British Society of Dental Hygiene & Therapy with the object of showcasing excellence in the planning and treatment of a patient through a whole team approach. The prize takes the form of a cash award of £500 together with a certificate for the winning team.
Eligibility
The prize is open to any team of oral healthcare professionals.
Submission requirements
The report must provide details of a clinical case which may have multi-disciplinary content but with the main theme being the periodontal and/or peri-implant management. This should include the following:
The report must be submitted in pdf format and should not exceed 1,000 words (not including references, tables and figures or the title. Sub-headings are included in the word count).
Work must be unpublished. Cases submitted for other BSP or BSDHT prizes must not be resubmitted. However, a team entry for this prize does not prevent an individual from applying for one other BSP or BSDHT prize.
The reports will be assessed by a team of judges appointed by the BSP & BSDHT, whose decision will be final. Feedback will not be provided to individuals. The Societies reserve the right to withhold the prize if the standard of the entries is not of sufficient merit.
The winning team will be awarded their prize and certificate at The Oral Health Summit in Edinburgh 28-29 November 2025.
