💉 NEW FOR APTUK 2026 PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE: EXCLUSIVE VACCINATION TRAINING WORKSHOP

Sponsored by Viatris | Delivered by ECG Training

Looking to expand your clinical skills and be part of the evolving future of pharmacy technician practice?

APTUK is delighted to offer an exclusive Vaccination Training Workshop at the APTUK Annual Professional Conference & Exhibition 2026. This exciting, hands-on session has been developed specifically for pharmacy technicians and provides a unique opportunity to build knowledge, confidence and practical understanding in vaccination services.

Delivered by the expert team at ECG Training and sponsored by Viatris, this immersive workshop will combine interactive learning, practical elements and professional discussion, making it one of the standout clinical development opportunities available at this year's conference.

Delivered face-to-face and paired with an online theory course, this training covers everything needed to vaccinate adults safely and confidently.

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

  • Deliver intramuscular and subcutaneous injections into the deltoid and thigh
  • Reconstitute vaccines
  • Draw up multi-dose vial injections
  • Provide CPR
  • Recognise and treat anaphylaxis with adrenaline in adults

Qualification: On completion of the practical session and online theory course (including up to 3 attempts at the post-course test), delegates receive a recognised vaccination training qualification, demonstrating competency in adult vaccine administration.

As part of this training package, delegates will also receive access to an adult vaccination Patient Group Direction (PGD), subject to successful completion of the training and any associated competency requirements. This provides delegates with a recognised legal framework to support the supply and administration of the FLU vaccine within the scope of the PGD, enabling them to apply their training within appropriate practice settings.
